BLACK SANDS FISHING S.A.S.

PROPERTY POLICIES AND TERMS OF SERVICE

  • Rates and Taxes

All rates are stated in United States Dollars (USD) or Colombian Pesos (COP), depending on the booking channel. Rates do not include applicable local taxes, which will be added to the final invoice in accordance with Colombian tax regulations. Rates are subject to change without prior notice until the reservation has been formally confirmed in writing.

All-inclusive packages include accommodation, gourmet meals, selected beverages, and scheduled transfers from designated points.

  • Deposits, Payments, and Check-In / Check-Out

2.1 Individual Suite Reservations (Accommodation Only)

A deposit equivalent to one (1) night of accommodation is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

2.2 Customized Fishing Packages and Exclusive Lodge Bookings

A non-refundable deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total package cost is required within fifteen (15) days of written confirmation to secure the reservation. The remaining fifty percent (50%) must be paid no later than sixty (60) days prior to arrival.

2.3 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept bank transfers, major credit cards, and secure payment links issued directly by the Lodge.

2.4 Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in: 3:00 PM

Check-out: 11:00 AM

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and must be arranged in advance.

  • Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 Individual Suite Reservations (Accommodation Only)

Cancellations received thirty (30) or more days prior to arrival will receive a full refund of the deposit.

3.2

Cancellations received within thirty (30) days prior to arrival are non-refundable.

3.3 Force Majeure

Black Sands Lodge shall not be held responsible for delays, interruptions, or cancellations resulting from adverse weather conditions, pandemics, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events. In such cases, rescheduling will be offered subject to availability; no monetary compensation will be provided.

  • Accommodation for Minors

Black Sands Lodge is a family-friendly destination that welcomes guests of all ages. Minors are permitted when accompanied and supervised by an adult. While we do not offer specific services for children, our team is available to assist families seeking to enjoy nature-based experiences.

  • Accessibility, Special Needs, and Pets

Due to the remote location of Black Sands Lodge, access for guests with reduced mobility may be limited. We recommend contacting our reservations team in advance to explore possible alternatives.

Pets are accepted upon request and written confirmation. Additional conditions and cleaning fees may apply.

  • Transportation

Transportation to and from Black Sands Lodge is provided by boat from designated points and must be arranged in advance. All transfers are subject to weather conditions and availability.

  • Private Events and Special Activities

Black Sands Lodge is available for exclusive use, private events, and special celebrations upon request and written agreement. All activities must comply with the Lodge's operational standards and policies.

  • Use of Personal Information

Black Sands Lodge collects and processes personal data for the purpose of managing reservations, personalizing the guest experience, complying with legal obligations, and ensuring safety.

We comply with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data is stored securely and used exclusively for internal purposes.

  • Error Resolution and Claims

Any billing discrepancy or service-related issue must be reported within twenty-four (24) hours of occurrence. All claims will be addressed promptly and transparently.

  • Guest and Lodge Liability

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the facilities, furnishings, equipment, or natural surroundings of Black Sands Lodge.

The Lodge shall not be held responsible for the loss of valuables that have not been declared. Travel insurance is recommended.

  • Force Majeure Events

In the event of circumstances such as pandemics, government actions, or other events beyond the Lodge's reasonable control, Black Sands Lodge reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel reservations without monetary compensation. Priority for rescheduling will be given whenever possible.

  • Third Parties and Partners

Black Sands Lodge works with a network of certified service providers. While we strive to maintain the highest standards, we shall not be held responsible for actions, omissions, or failures by such providers that fall outside our contractual obligations.

  • Legal Disclaimer

Guests acknowledge that all activities undertaken during their stay, including but not limited to fishing, boating, excursions, and use of the facilities, involve inherent risks.

By confirming a reservation, the guest acknowledges and accepts these risks and releases Black Sands Fishing S.A.S. from liability, except in cases of proven negligence.

  • Indemnification

In the event of a violation of the Lodge's policies or inappropriate conduct by a guest, Black Sands Lodge reserves the right to charge additional fees, seek compensation for damages, and terminate the guest's stay without a right to a refund.
