Black Sands Lodge is situated in Bahia Solano, approximately 120 miles northwest of Medellín.


Traveling to Bahia Solano

All domestic flights to Bahia Solano depart from Medellín’s Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH). Medellín is easily reachable with several airlines offering direct flights from the USA and other countries. We recommend arriving in Medellín the day before your trip, as flights to Bahia Solano typically depart between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For international travelers, flights will land at José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), located just 30 minutes from Medellín.


Connecting Flights
 

Three airlines operate daily flights between Medellín and Bahia Solano, with an estimated flight time of 40 minutes. Upon arrival in Bahia Solano, a lodge representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you via a short 5-minute car ride to your boat, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary fishing session as part of your welcome.

A typical day with us
 

Here's a glimpse of a typical day at Black Sands Lodge, though we are more than happy to tailor the schedule to your preferences:
 

  • 6:00 AM: Coffee ready in the dining area

  • 6:30 AM: Breakfast served

  • 7:00 / 7:30 AM: One of our pangas will pick you up at the beach when you and your crew are ready and transfer you to your fishing boat.

  • 5:00 / 5:30 PM: Return to the Lodge

  • 6:30 PM: Cocktail hour and appetizers

  • 7:00 PM: Dinner
